FAQ
A therapy session lasts sixty minutes, which we aim to use as effectively as possible. Please be on time, as there is no waiting room.
In some cases, it may be beneficial to schedule a longer session, but we will discuss this in advance.
The duration depends on your individual symptoms and concerns and cannot be generalised. Sometimes, a few sessions are enough; other times, more intensive support is needed. Typically, 12 to 24 sessions are sufficient to achieve sustainable progress, always focusing on your resources and goals.
Short-term therapy aims to address specific challenges and achieve progress within a shorter time frame. The focus is on practical, clearly defined goals, while still considering deeper emotional issues. In contrast, long-term therapy offers the opportunity for a more in-depth exploration of behavioural and thought patterns.
Yes and yes. At the beginning of our initial meeting, we will discuss your concerns and therapy goals. Based on this, we will create an individual therapy plan that naturally takes your preferences into account.
When someone you care about is struggling with illness or distress, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed – especially if that person is your partner, parent, or child. The worry for their well-being, the sense of powerlessness, or the pressure to hold it all together can weigh heavily on you.
In my therapy sessions, the focus isn’t on your loved one’s condition, but on you – your emotions, your challenges, and your well-being. Here, you’ll have the space to share your fears and frustrations, explore your role in the situation, and rediscover your own boundaries. Together, we’ll find ways to navigate this difficult time while ensuring you don’t lose sight of your own needs.
If you cannot attend, please cancel at least 24 hours in advance by phone or email. This allows me to offer the slot to someone else. For late or no-show cancellations, I regret that the full fee will be charged.
